Our Process

A member of Legacy Life Stories will contact you to confirm how you want to work with us. This can be in face to face interviews or using Skype or Zoom to record your story.

This first session also gives us an opportunity to assess what is important to you – you might want to focus on a particular time frame or experience or you may be happy with a more general approach. It’s your call!

We schedule the number of hours of interviewing at mutually convenient times. Our experience is that leaving some time between sessions enables more memories to surface – sometimes unearthing forgotten gems – which add richness and depth to your experience with us.

When the recording sessions are complete we start to edit the text. This will then be shared with you for review and the process repeated up to three times so that we ensure you are satisfied with it. We will ask you to share whatever photographs or documents that you wish to include and any other contextual material that is important to you.

A final review enables you to see the finished proof before publishing to make sure that you are
happy with it before we go to print.
